There are country singers that will occasionally do a gospel or Christian themed song and I enjoy listening to them when they do so. Well, there was one who I had prayed for to start doing more Christian style music and probably a month or two months ago by now, he released a song called, “If That Ain’t God”. The authors of the song requested for this artist to do their song, he gladly agreed and I believe that he said he was even honored to do the song. In the song, it talks about a little boy who defeated cancer and got to play baseball for the first time. The boy even hit a home run his first time at the plate, and pointed at the sky. Then the song goes, “It made me think, if that ain’t God, if that ain’t Him, if it ain’t that Man upstairs looking down on us again.” To hear an artist that I have prayed for that God would get him back to singing Christian music release a song like that made me think if that ain’t God looking down on me, and answering one of many requests, then I don’t know what is. It seems like God has been looking down and blessing His people through this pandemic and even adding to His fold in miraculous ways. Even when my dog died, not even two weeks ago, though I had a really hard time, I could see God’s Blessing. I got to watch part of the sunset with my dog one last time, and I know that he is no longer suffering. During that time I saw a young man I knew get saved. Even though there are a lot of restrictions with Covid, and a lot of unpleasant news on the media, as Christians we can rejoice knowing that many people are getting saved, or people who are saved are coming back to God. God is still in control, He is still working miracles, He is still healing disease, and He is still blessing His people. God is not finished with us yet, He is working things out for good and for His glory. Though we may not see the full picture yet, we can rest assured knowing that God does, and He has an amazing plan. “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;” Psalm 34:15. God Bless!
