In many places around the country archery deer season has opened up, however, in Virginia, archery deer season opens tomorrow morning. I cannot wait to get up in the morning and get out in the woods. This past week has been a long one just waiting for season. As Christians, we wait for when our Savior will call us to be with Him in heaven. We wait for that day, we watch for that day, and we long for that day. Yet, we do not have to sit idly by while waiting on the Lord. We can be doing something. We can be serving Him. We can be studying His Word and living out its principals in front of others. We can be reaching out to our neighbors, our communities, and as far as God would lead us with the gospel. We have a job to do until the Lord calls us away. Our time on Earth is short, but eternity is long and we need to make sure that we do our part to share the gospel so that others may receive Christ. It is not our job to make someone believe it, they have to decide for themselves if they will believe it and follow God’s invitation. We are to sow seed into the lives of those we cross paths with, we are to be an example for them and a good witness for Christ while we wait. God did not want us to get bored while we wait, He has great plans for us that we can follow until the day we are called home. “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24. God Bless!
