So tonight we are going to talk about the last part of the arrow, the nock.  The nock is a simple plastic (sometimes aluminum) piece that holds the arrow to the string of the bow until the bow is fired and the arrow is released toward the target.  When we look at the palms of our hands, we see lines.  It says in Isaiah 49:16, “See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me.”  God holds onto us, just like the nock holds onto the string of the bow, but every morning when we start on the path God wants us to follow, the path He is sending us down, He goes with us.  He does not send us on our way alone, the Bible says that Jesus is a friend who sticks closer than a brother, it says that God is holding onto us, and that as Christians we have the Holy Spirit in us.  God will always hold onto us, He will not leave us or forsake us.  God does not abandon His children.  God stays with us to give us the strength and wisdom we need to follow His Will for our lives.  God has a wonderful plan for us, but we cannot follow it alone, this is why God goes with us.  He knows that we will face trials and temptations, and He will be with us to give us grace that is sufficient for those times.  God will not leave you by yourself, even when you get scared, worried, or anxious, God is there and He will give you peace.  God Bless!
