When working with compound bows, one thing you have to keep in check is the timing on the bow. A compound bow has a string, and depending on what type of cam (the wheels on each end of the bow) it can have one or two cables, which can vary in type. There are usually marks on the cams that line up with these cables called timing marks. If the cable lines up, you’re fine, if not, there’s a problem. On a compound bow, you need to make sure your cam timing is perfect, or else the whole system can be thrown off. As Christians, we sometimes feel like God’s timing is off. Sometimes we feel like, “If God would have done this sooner, that could have happened, and I would be there now.” However, we must remember that God’s timing is different than ours, His plans and His thoughts are higher than ours. We want events to line up certain ways for ourselves a lot of times, instead of wanting things to line up perfectly according to the Father’s will. God has great plans for us, and God knows when and how to act to make those plans happen. One thing that must always happen is that we must humble ourselves to His Will instead of trying to follow our own path. Even in a situation that seems bad from our perspective, we must pray that God’s Will be done. I’m not saying to not pray for things like healing, or for financial resolve, or things of that nature, but when we pray we need to pray they happen according with His Will. God will provide what we need according to His timing, His perfect timing, so that our relationship with Him can grow. God is our Father, He does everything for our good, and for the good of our relationship with Him. “But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.” Jeremiah 17:7. God Bless!
