Rope is very useful for various things. It can be used for hanging up plants to dry, it can be used for pulling many different things. One thing that rope can have a tendency to do is get tangled up in itself, or at least it does for me anyway. Rope can just look at me and get tangled up in a hundred knots that all start with just one or two little slip-knots. People are similar. God wants to be able to use us for His will and glory. However, we are not perfect, we mess up. When we sin it seems like it can make a giant mess of things, but when we go to God for forgiveness, He begins to untangle the knot. He begins to straighten everything out, both the big and small knots alike; and it can take time. However, when everything is finally straightened out, we can get back to work. We can begin to serve God better than we could when we were in a bind that we created. God can and will use us for His glory, but He may have to straighten out a few things. He may have to sand some rough edges, or pull imperfections out of the clay that He is molding. It can be rough, and it will take time, but it will all be worth it. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28. When we get saved, we are called to serve God, and even though we will still sin and bad things will happen, God can and will bring good from all situations. He can fix the tangled rope. God Bless!
