“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.” Psalm 42:1. Do you desire God’s Word as much as you do rest after a hard day? God uses His Word to feed our souls, to give our souls comfort, to give us peace and correction when necessary. God’s Word is our compass, it is the light for our path. We need to be in His Word every single day. We should desire His Word more than anything else. We should be in it as much as possible, the more we read it, the more we will want to read it. When we are not reading God’s Word, our hearts should be meditating on it and desiring to go to it as soon as possible. Just as the deer pants for water, so our souls should pant for God and for His Word. Our souls should long to be with God’s people in His House praising God and learning from His Word. In China, people do not have access to God’s Word like we do, so they have to hold on to every verse they can learn. There will come a day in America where our faith is more than just mocked, we will face persecution in this country, so we must hold fast to God’s Word, we need to store it in our hearts, and store a lot of it. We need to let God help us grow strong in Him so that we will be able to stand when that day comes. God Bless!
