Keep on

When it comes to the sport of archery, there is always room for improvement.  There is always something that you can do either with yourself or your bow, arrows, etc., that can help you be a better shot.  You have to keep working at it in order to improve.  If you don't work, you don't get better.  This isn't just with archery though, it is the same with pretty much everything else in the world.  You have to keep working at that which you are trying to accomplish.  You cannot give up, you have to keep giving it your best.  Thankfully, [...]

Peace

2020-07-23T01:56:14+00:00

If you would, please remember a good friend of mine in prayer.  There was a death in the family and I just wanted to ask for each of you to pray for the family for peace and strength.  Also, pray that God's will shall be done through all of this, maybe so that someone gets saved through this or if someone in the family maybe strayed away from God, that they will come back to Him.  God can and will bring good out of even a sad situation such as the death of a loved one.  He Loves us so much [...]

Keeping Focus

2020-07-22T03:39:26+00:00

Sometimes it can be easy to lose focus.  Whether you're tired, or if you're hungry.  It can be easy to lose focus when there are thousand different things going on around you, but whatever the case may be, we have to do our best to stay focused.  God has given us a job to do.  We are to pray continually.  We are to seek to give Him glory in all things, and we need to meditate on His Word.  Even when we aren't reading and studying in His Word, we need to be thinking on His Word.  Paul talks about thinking [...]

His Love

2020-07-21T02:44:51+00:00

"Jesus wept.  Then the Jews said, "See how he loved him!"  John 11:35-36.  I've heard a lot of people speculate as to why Jesus wept at Lazarus' tomb.  Pretty much any way you look at it, it is because of Jesus' great Love, as He is Love.  It could have been that He wept because His friend had to endure suffering.  He could have wept out of compassion because others were hurting.  It could have been a host of reasons.  Any way you look at it, there is no doubt of Christ's Love.  Each one of us can look back and [...]

Promises

2020-07-20T04:21:35+00:00

When we go fishing, I love to catch or at least attempt to catch crawdads, otherwise known as crawfish.  Tonight I caught a big one for me but I had trouble trying to catch a couple of small ones.  I told Dad, "I am catching one more before we leave."  Well, I didn't, and it got me thinking.  We as humans tend to make promises, but we can't always seem to make good on them.  All of us do it, and it isn't wrong to promise to do your best, or to promise to try to get something done, but to [...]

The Armor

2020-07-19T03:57:02+00:00

I apologize for being late with the verse this evening, but for tonight I want to talk about the armor of God.  It says in Ephesians 6:11, "Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes."  Then Paul wrote again in verse 13 to put on the Armor.  When God says anything, we need to pay close attention, but when He repeats Himself, then we should make sure beyond the shadow of a doubt that we are taking what God says and doing what we can to apply it to our lives.  [...]

Pray About it

2020-07-18T02:55:28+00:00

God Loves us.  He will guide us in the way we are to go, not in the wrong direction.  We need to follow Him in all things that we do, whether it be in our relationships, our jobs, or even our business deals as those are all things that He has given to us.  We have to pray that He will help us to do His will, not just our own.  His will is better than our own.  It will lead to better things than our will could.  It can sometimes lead to sharing the gospel or to making a new [...]

BLM

2020-07-17T03:31:59+00:00

All lives matter, you can call me racist if you want but all lives matter.  Red, yellow, black, white, all matter, and all are precious to God.  There is one particular group of individuals that do, however, need to be spoken for more.  Many people advocate for their lives, but not enough are taking a real stand.  Babies lives matter.  There have been millions upon millions of babies killed because of abortion, not counting those killed because of abuse or other circumstances.  There are those among us, and I will not name names as they know who they are, that believe [...]

Treasures

2020-07-16T03:31:52+00:00

It is smart to have a savings account.  Trying to save at least part of your money can help for rainy days or for whatever may come.  God wants us to have a savings account in Heaven, sort of.  God wants us to lay up treasures in Heaven.  When we get saved God wants us to begin to live for His will and for His glory.  He wants to be able to reward us as His children for what we have done for Him.  God wants us to love others as we do ourselves and seek to share Christ with all [...]

Stains

2020-07-15T03:11:26+00:00

Do you ever have that one shirt that you just really liked?  It fit well, looked good, felt good, but then it gets stained somehow.  I have a few of those myself.  We're not perfect, we mess up.  We may spill something on it, or we may drop a piece of food on it.  We may get into some grease or something that will permanently stain that garment.  It's a pain to deal with, but, there will come a day when we won't have to deal with it anymore.  When we get to Heaven, we will wear clean robes, made of [...]
