How Much Praise

2020-10-27T01:51:49+00:00

"Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws." Psalm 119:164.  This verse got me thinking, and I hope it gets you to thinking as well.  How many times a day do we verbally thank or praise God, for anything?  How many times we do we thank Him for who He is, for what He has done, or what He will do?  How many times a day do we lift His Name high in song, and praise Him for His goodness?  How many times a day do we praise Him for His righteous laws?  For that matter, how much [...]

The Great Physician

2020-10-24T03:07:32+00:00

I want to thank you all again for praying for my arm.  My appointment today went great, and I'll share how it went later, but for now I want to ask you to pray for a good friend of mine.  He has been fighting one uphill battle after another and he has told me that he felt like Job in the Bible.  He messaged me a few days ago, and told me that he was going to have back surgery in four weeks, he would need pins and screws put in, and he would be out of commission for about three [...]

Thankful

2020-10-23T02:01:43+00:00

As many of you all know, I broke my arm back in August, since then I have had surgery, and have had several weeks of physical therapy.  I have almost all of my motion back and as of right now I can lift up to two pounds.  I go back to the doctor tomorrow and I'm hoping all goes well, I'm hoping that my arm has healed to the point where he will release me to do more activities.  God has done more than I could have imagined in all this, and I just want to praise Him and thank Him [...]

Rest Stops

2020-10-22T01:51:20+00:00

Rest stops are a handy thing.  When you've been on the road for hours and you need to just stretch your legs, get a water or soda, and just breathe for a minute before getting back into the vehicle, rest stops are very useful.  Those little pit stops can often be refreshing.  The Sabbath is similar.  God wants us to take just one day a week, and pause from our work for just a minute and breathe.  He wants us to spend a day in fellowship with Him.  He wants us to spend time in His Word, in prayer, and most [...]

Trusting

2020-10-19T03:19:13+00:00

"In you, LORD my God, I put my trust."  Psalm 25:1.  This is one of my favorite verses to read.  Sometimes we just don't know why something happens the way it did.  I tend to get caught up on, "God, why did you let this happen this way" which I'm working on that.  Sometimes we have to stand back and remind ourselves to trust Him.  He knows what He is doing, He knows where He is guiding us.  He knows the answers to the what, when, where, why, and how questions we ask.  He knows the answers, we do not have [...]

Everything

2020-10-08T00:42:12+00:00

"I love you, LORD, my strength.  The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." Psalm 18:1-2.  When we begin to think about all that God has done for us, and just exactly Who He is to us, we cannot list everything.  God Himself is our strength, He is our Rock, our fortress, our deliverer, He is the One we take refuge in, He is the horn of our salvation, He is our stronghold, and on top of that He [...]

Look at the good

2020-10-07T03:28:31+00:00

Sometimes when things happen we look at the negatives.  As Christians we cannot afford to do this.  We have to look at the positive side of things, and even when we feel rattled, when we have to look hard to find the good in something, we need to do it.  It can be easy to throw ourselves a pity party, it can be easy to complain, and the more we do that the more chance that gives Satan to tempt us to say or think things that we shouldn't.  We cannot give him that chance, rather we should seek out the [...]

Step back

2020-10-01T01:45:20+00:00

"Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name."  Psalms 130:1.  When we get aggravated or flustered the best thing to do is just to step back, and thank God for His Blessings and to praise Him for His goodness.  There are so many tools that Satan uses to attack us, whether it is the little accidents in the day, events at work, things on the news or social media, and others.  Satan wants nothing less than the downfall of Christianity, and the closer we get to the rapture of the church, the harder he fights.  We [...]

A day to remember

2020-09-27T03:18:19+00:00

Today I got to watch part of the prayer march and it was so cool to see so many brothers and sisters in Christ gather to pray for the nation, for healing, and for the lost.  I wished I could have been there.  There is a song that I like called, "Sound of the Saints", Audio Adrenaline and I think a few other groups do that song.  There is something in the sound of the saints singing together and praising the Name above all Names.  I heard that there was somebody leading worship there at the prayer march in the group.  [...]

What would you want pt. 2

2020-09-24T02:49:04+00:00

Now I want you to be honest with yourself, about a week ago I wrote a devotion about what you would ask God for if given the chance like Solomon.  Well, in that devotional I asked that you would pray for that desire, whether if it was for wisdom like Solomon, or to be more thankful, or if it was to be a better servant, etc.  Whatever your desire was, did you pray for it everyday if you took the challenge?  Some may say yes, and I guarantee that others will say no.  Normally, I do my best to do these [...]
