“I love you, LORD, my strength.  The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:1-2.  When we begin to think about all that God has done for us, and just exactly Who He is to us, we cannot list everything.  God Himself is our strength, He is our Rock, our fortress, our deliverer, He is the One we take refuge in, He is the horn of our salvation, He is our stronghold, and on top of that He is so much more.  For His Children, He is a perfect Father, He is the provider, protector, leader, and much more still.  God does so much for us, everyday that we wake up He provides us with breath, He gives us strength, and peace for the day.  He has given His Son for us to be saved and raised Him up so that we can go to heaven.  God has done so much for us, and we need to thank Him for all that He does, we need to thank Him for who He is.  We should lift our hands in praise, and make a joyful noise.  There is a song, I don’t remember where it originated, I think it is in one of the hymnals possibly, but the song goes, “I’ve got so much to praise Him for, so much to thank Him for.”  It’s true, we do have a lot to be thankful for, even a lot of things that we don’t consider to be much and that we often take for granted.  For instance, I got to go hunting on my birthday and saw almost ten deer, including one young buck, but still I complained about something that happened instead of thanking God as much as I should have.  That didn’t make it right, because even in that situation I could praise God.  I know He has a plan, and I should have thanked Him for working all things out for my good, even when my plan did not line up with His.  We have so much to praise and thank God for, and we should praise Him in both easy times, and hard times, because no matter our situation, God is still worthy of praise.  God Bless!
