“Once again David inquired of the LORD, and the LORD answered him, “Go down to Keilah, for I am going to give the Philistines into your hand.”  1 Samuel 23:4.  When David heard of the Philistine attack against Keilah, he asked God if he should go and attack the Philistines.  God told David to go, but the men with David were afraid, and so David asked one more time if he and his men should go down to fight, and God again answered yes.  Sometimes we let fear get in the way of what God has said.  It doesn’t even have to be our fear that causes us to doubt.  In David’s case it was the fear of the men around him that caused him to question what God had already said.  It can be hard, but when we know God is leading us to something, and we know it is really Him, then we should not let fear stand in our way.  God told David the first time to go fight the Philistines and save the town.  God would be with Him, which is why God said to “save the town” not “try to save the town”.  When David asked again, God had to come right out and say, “go, I Am giving them into your hand”.  When God tells us to do something, we are to do it.  He will give us the victory.  The victory can be in different ways, whether spiritual or physical, or in this particular case, it was both as David won the battle, and likely learned to trust in the Word of the LORD more.  That is something we all need to do everyday.  God Bless!
