“Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.” Psalm 1:4. In sin we looked for that thing that will fill that void inside of us. We would try this or that, and it would be pleasing for the moment but it would not fill the void. Nothing seemed to ever be enough, and no combination of things ever added up to the right amount to cure the problem. We chased after different things to satisfy, but it was like we were being blown around by the wind with nothing to hold onto, no foundation to steady us. Yet, in Christ we have a firm foundation. We have a solid Rock to stand on, He will give us strength and He will give us peace no matter how hard the wind blows. Not only that, but Jesus can fill that void inside of you. That hole inside is not in the shape of material things, it is a God-shaped hole, and when we put anything else in there it is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, it just doesn’t work. It will neither fit nor fill the void. Yet Christ, gives us grace that is sufficient for the trials we face, forgiveness and cleansing that is bigger than our past mistakes, He gives us joy unspeakable, and peace unfathomable. God will provide our needs, and often times He does it in amazing ways. God is all that we need, we can depend on Him, He is faithful, and that has been proven time and time again. God Bless!
