“Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.” Psalm 119:164.  This verse got me thinking, and I hope it gets you to thinking as well.  How many times a day do we verbally thank or praise God, for anything?  How many times we do we thank Him for who He is, for what He has done, or what He will do?  How many times a day do we lift His Name high in song, and praise Him for His goodness?  How many times a day do we praise Him for His righteous laws?  For that matter, how much do we praise Him in our actions, by serving others, by helping when we can, by letting our light shine?  I would think most born again believers praise God often, or at least I would like to think that.  I know that I am guilty of complaining when I should be praising God, even though I know better.  God deserves our praise, He is worthy of more praise than what we could ever give Him.  God is Love, and even though we only deserve His wrath, He sent His Son to take our sin away.  God is our Father in Heaven, He deserves all of our praise, our respect, our admiration, and He deserves our Love.  He has done so many things for us, and He deserves praise for being who He is.  We need to spend time in prayer and in His Word to grow closer to Him, but we cannot leave out praise.  When we pray, we need to praise Him just as much as we request something of Him.  Just as His thoughts and ways are higher than ours, so each person needs to lift God’s name higher than they do their own.  Spend time today, tomorrow, and forevermore praising the Name above all Names.  God Bless!
