Tonight I just want to go over some reasons why I believe our pets will be in heaven when they die. First off it mentions that Christ will return on a white horse when He comes to set up His Kingdom on the earth for the thousand year reign. That means there will be at least one animal in heaven, so it would make good sense that other animals will be there. Secondly, God allowed His people to bring their animals to the promised land. He did not abandon those animals, He told His people to bring them. Also, God is the Good Shepherd. He cares about the sparrow, He knows every move it makes, and since He cares about it that much, I believe that when it dies that He would bring it home to Heaven. Finally I want to point out in Isaiah where it talks about, “The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the cobra’s den, the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.” Isaiah 11:6-8. So if you have lost a pet you loved, or any animal for that matter I hope this encourages you. I’ve personally had to hold to these things a lot in the past couple of days and wanted to encourage others that have either went through the same thing or may be going through the same thing. God Loves animals, He made them to point back to Him for our sake, and I’d imagine that He would give them a great reward for doing so when they get to heaven. God Bless!
