Little children often do not like to study for a quiz or test at school.  Sometimes they feel like they know all the answers and they do not need to waste their time in review of what they have learned.  We can sometimes be the same way in our walk with God.  We do not always like to go back and reread a verse we feel like we understand.  Yet, God will often teach us more out of that verse than what we would think.  We can read and apply a verse for its face value, but often times there is more to a verse than what meets the eye.  A verse can be prophetic and us not even notice at first, or God could use that verse to tie in elsewhere in the Bible.  I love to use the example of Psalm 23, we do not have to fear death or the shadow thereof because Christ defeated death, and we will dwell in the House of the Lord for years and years to come when we dwell in the house the Lord prepares for us.  We need to study God’s Word, and we need to constantly review what we have studied.  There will come a day when we need what we have learned from God’s Word to stand during whatever trial we may face.  We need to make sure to grow our roots deeper and deeper into Christ now, so that we will not fall when Satan attacks.  He wants to destroy Christians and would love to stop our cause.  I saw on a yard sale group in the Bible belt of America, how someone would stir the pot politically and talk about how good the church of Satan was, but not many people said anything for a while, but one Christian posts one thing about the mark of the beast and they were bashed for posting such a thing on a yard sale group the first time they did it.  We will face adversity, but we need to make sure we can use our Shield of Faith to quench the fiery darts the devil will throw at us.  The more we read, the more we will rely on God when trouble comes, and the more likely we are to follow His guidance in what we say, how we say it, and how we act.  Trials and tests will come, but God can and will bring us through them, but we need to be studying up. “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”       2 Timothy 3:16-17.  God Bless!
