“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16. Why should one want to do good deeds so that God would get credit instead of them? Why would one want to let God work through them instead of doing whatever they want? When it is all said and done, when I stand before my Maker, I would rather have lived my life for something greater than temporal desires. I would rather serve the One that saves, and let my light shine just so someone will see the light I reflect, and maybe, just maybe accept Jesus Christ instead of dying in their sins and going to hell. When people see me, when they see my actions and/or hear my words, I hope they see the light of Christ in me. I choose to live my life this way, and I do mess up, I know that, I’ll be the first to admit it, but I want to spend my life sharing the grace of God with others. I want to do my best to serve God so that others will see Him working in me and be encouraged or choose to follow Him. God has greater plans for my life than I ever could have had. I have seen this already in many ways. I have seen Him use things in my life for His glory in ways that are astounding. I cannot wait to see what He holds for me in the future, and I would rather live my life for Him, than for myself. He wants to use me for good things, Satan only wanted evil. God Loves me, and I know He has a plan. Satan hates my guts, and he wanted nothing more than hell for my soul. God Loves you as well, and He has an awesome plan for your life. Now, I will not say that everything is going to be easy, in fact there will be some hard times, there will be persecution, but God will still be with you. He will give you the grace to endure, He will help you to follow Him. God sees the big picture, and He will help you to do great things for His sake, and if you choose to follow Him and serve Him, you will be rewarded. When we get to heaven we will be rewarded for the work we have done for Christ. I would rather serve Christ more, so that I have more reward to give back to Him. God Bless!
