Christ was a well known individual during His three year ministry. He stood out from the crowd for His Love, compassion, and His wisdom. Since we are to be like Him, as Christians we should stand out from the crowd because of our Love, compassion, and wisdom. People were easily able to identify Jesus, and people should be able to identify us easily as well. We are not to think that we are better than others, rather we are to be humble towards others. However, we are to be different, we are to be set apart. Just as Christ set examples for us to live by, likewise we should be setting examples for others. There are so many people that try to set trends, and as Christians we should be setting trends of integrity, respect, and ultimately setting the trend of following Christ. We have to follow God’s guidance in all that we do. We need to be bold for God, seeking to honor Him and bring Him glory day in and day out. Christians have a job to do, and that job is very clear, to make disciples of the nations, baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching about the laws of God. When people who may not know Christ see us, they should be able to see Christ. They should see forgiveness, humility, respect, and above all, Love. They should see us and desire to have what we have, and that is Christ the Lord. “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,” Ephesians 4:15.
