“Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.” Psalms 130:1. When we get aggravated or flustered the best thing to do is just to step back, and thank God for His Blessings and to praise Him for His goodness. There are so many tools that Satan uses to attack us, whether it is the little accidents in the day, events at work, things on the news or social media, and others. Satan wants nothing less than the downfall of Christianity, and the closer we get to the rapture of the church, the harder he fights. We need to be able, when we get flustered, to step back, and start praising God. Sometimes we have to consult with ourselves like Nehemiah had to do. We also need to think on the good things, the lovely things, the things of good report that God has placed in our lives. I had gotten a little aggravated over something I saw on Facebook a while ago, not necessarily what the person said, but where they said it and the results of them saying it. I had to put my phone down, and God gave me something else to think about. It was like He just gave me the perfect image to think on in order to get my mind away from that post. There is this one stretch of mountains near my house that have a cliff face about half-way up the hill. For a few years now I’ve noticed that when the leaves change color, the trees surrounding that cliff are the first to change. It almost looks like a wedding band on the mountain, and today I saw some of the first trees that had already changed color at the cliff. God had to give me that image to think on, instead of the disruption from the post I saw. Satan uses those distractions to get our mind off of where it should be, but God helps us to get it back on track, so that we can be glad in Him, not disheartened by the world. God Bless!
