So last night we talked about the tip of the arrow and the lesson that we normally give with that part of the arrow, tonight I want to talk about the insert.  The insert for those who do not know is a metal piece glued into the shaft so that you can screw in a field point or broad head.  It holds the tip securely in place.  Last night we mentioned that the tip of the arrow is similar to God’s Word, well, when a person accepts Christ, the Holy Spirit that Christ sends helps us to hold onto God’s Word.  He helps us to remember God’s Word so that we can share it with our friends, our classmates, or our coworkers.  The Holy Spirit in us, is kind of like the insert in the arrow.  He helps us to hold onto what is important, the Word of God.  Even when friends get angry with you, even when family is against you, you can still go to God’s Word for peace and to figure out the right thing to do.  The Holy Spirit guides us in the way we should go, and He helps us to do what we need to do in accordance with God’s Word.  “But you are to hold fast to the LORD your God, as you have until now.” Joshua 23:8.  We need to hold onto God and His Word, and the Holy Spirit will help us to do that.  God Bless!
