The next part of the arrow is sort of two parts in one. The first one that I’ll talk about tonight is the shaft of the arrow. The shaft is straight just like God’s path for our lives, it says in Proverbs 4:26-27, “Watch the path of your feet and all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; turn your foot from evil.” Now we may sin and fail, we will turn to the right or left, but God’s plan, the plan we need to follow, is a straight path. It may be bumpy at times, and it may be an uphill climb but it will be straight. We have to follow God’s Word, for it is the lamp to our path. Also, the shaft of the arrow has strength to it, this strength is called the spine of the arrow. Just as God gives us a physical spine for us to stand up and go about normal life, God gives us a spiritual spine to stand for Him. God also gives us His armor to protect us from Satan’s attacks. God will give us the strength we need to live for Him, He will help us each and everyday. God promises to always be with us. When Israel was faced with a fight they thought they couldn’t win God told them, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6. God will be with us, there is no need for us to fear as long as we are in Him by the blood of His Son. He will give us the strength we need to follow His path, He will give us the peace and comfort that we need as well. He will also give us grace that is sufficient to endure every trial. God Bless!
