Sometimes we ask God why things happen, or why events played out the way they did. Christians are also guilty of asking God why He waited to do a miracle. God’s timing is not always our timing, I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, God’s timing is not always our timing. God has reasons for doing things when we either do not expect them, or we feel like we’ve been waiting for a while. The number one reason is because He will receive more glory, for performing not only how, but when He does. This should be the most important reason to us as His children. Another reason, is because He knows when we will actually need the provision, He knows when to send aid from Heaven. He times things the way He does so that we will learn to trust Him more. When it boils down to it, God will always prove to have come through, and we can rely on Him to do so in the future as well. It should be our goal as Christians to increase our trust in God, and to give God glory through all situations. God even times things the way He does to grow our faith, and to give us a chance to praise Him. He uses our time in His Word, our time in prayer, the situations we face, and even the timing of His provision all to increase our trust in Him. Through these things we can also praise Him. Everything God does is for a reason, or for several reasons. We can trust His reasoning, because His thoughts are high above ours. His thoughts, His plan is to prosper us, now that does not always mean money, although it can. God can prosper us in ways and bless us in ways that money could never even attempt to pay for. Part of that prosperity, can come in the form of our trust in Him growing, it can come through us following Him more, and other good things. “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.” Psalm 37:23-24. God Bless!
