“In you, LORD my God, I put my trust.” Psalm 25:1. This is one of my favorite verses to read. Sometimes we just don’t know why something happens the way it did. I tend to get caught up on, “God, why did you let this happen this way” which I’m working on that. Sometimes we have to stand back and remind ourselves to trust Him. He knows what He is doing, He knows where He is guiding us. He knows the answers to the what, when, where, why, and how questions we ask. He knows the answers, we do not have to. He is the Shepherd, we are the sheep. He is our Father, we are His Children. Sometimes we try to correct our Father and tell Him what is best for us, or other times we try to tell Him how to do His job, which is not respectful to God nor does it show Him that we love Him. God knows what He is doing, and we can trust Him at all times. We may not see what He is doing, and He may not inform us, but He has a reason for that. He does not have to answer to us, but we will have to give Him an answer for the times we did not obey, for the times we did not trust Him enough to follow His lead. God never promised that it would be easy to follow Him, but He said that He would be with us. God will give us the grace we need to endure, and when He tells us to do something, we can trust Him. We can follow Him, and when we do, we will see something amazing. I’m not saying that every time you follow God’s Word that you will get to pray with someone and they will accept Christ. However, God will work through you, and you may get to encourage someone, plant a seed in someone’s life, or even nurture a previously sown seed. When we trust Him, when we follow His lead, we can praise Him for working through us. When we doubt, when we let our fear override our faith, we deny God glory, and we deny ourselves the opportunity to serve and praise our Father in Heaven. It is much better to trust in God the first time, and at all times, than to doubt and regret. God Bless!
